Kamishin Ryu
The Way of the Godly Heart- Kamishin Do
The Godly Heart school - Kamishin Ryu was founded by Albert Church in Japan in 1968. The Formal name of Nippon Kobudo Kamishin Ryu was the name given to the Martial Art by Soke Shogo Kuniba of the Seishinkai.
Soke Kuniba studied the Soden Scroll that Albert Church inherited when he was named the Successor of Sijo Wang the last Asian Master of Old Shorin Ji Tetsuken Ryu. Soke Kuniba required a name change inorder for the Martial Art to be recognized in Japan by the Seishinkai organization. The Nippon Kobudo Kamishin Ryu is an old Martial Art form that has stood the test of time. Training in the Kamishin Ryu requires a student to be pure of heart and develop a mind set taught by the Kamishin Ryu.
Kamishin Do is the way of Kamishin. It is the combined fist method of the Old Martial Art forms into the one way. Soke Church's goal was to merge the Goken-Hard Fist arts with the Juken-Soft Fist arts into one Form. Shihan's who achieved this refer to finding the path of the way of Kamishin.Enlightment occurs when one realizes that hard and soft, In and Yo,Yin and Yang are all related and can be used together. This is the way of Kamishin Do.
